I am offering this very rare and unusual Mathey-Tissot stainless steel automatic wind watch. This watch has an extremely rare Rolex Oyster designed to the case back. It is exactly the correct size for my Rolex Easy-Opener. So the question is did Mathey-Tissot have a relationship with RWC to use this design. Or was it an attempt to infringe on certain Rolexnts. This watch dates from the WWII vintage and was undoubtedly "transshipped" via a neutral nation to the US during the war. This can told by the poor hand engraving stating showing the movement to be "Unadjusted" and the importer code "MXT."
Fully and correctly signed stainless steel case with "Oyster" style case-back. Over the case measures 30.00 mm in diameter without the winding crown. Fitted with an inner dust cover. Very rare and early bumper automatic wind movement. Excellent original dial. Runs but needs to be serviced.
