A: Coverage will vary depending on number of coats used and what type of substrate you are applying FLEX SEAL® LIQUID to;
1 Large 16oz – up to 20Sq. Ft.,
1 Jumbo 32oz – up to 40Sq. Ft.
1 Giant Gallon – up to 150Sq. Ft.,
Q: How do I apply FLEX SEAL® LIQUID? HOW TO BRUSH, ROLL, DIP, POUR
A: Protective clothing is recommended. Stir can well. Make sure the surface is clean, dry and free of grease, oil and dirt. For better adhesion, etch the surface with sand paper or steel wool.
Make sure all cracks and holes have been completely filled and FLEX SEAL® LIQUID is completely dry before testing product. Flex Seal Liquid reacts with the air to cure. Once containers are exposed to the air a skin will form on the material over time. The skin will be less in winter months but can form within minutes in hot and humid summer conditions. Cured skin that has formed on the top of the material must be removed or it may make the material lumpy. Always cover open containers during and after use.
BRUSH & ROLL
Brush or roll FLEX SEAL® LIQUID using an even sweeping motion. Apply several even coats until the surface has been completely covered and ALL cracks and holes have been filled. Allow FLEX SEAL® LIQUID to dry 24 to 48 hours and apply additional coats as needed. Always brush or roll over a larger area than just where the leak occurred.
Dip object directly into FLEX SEAL® LIQUID making a slight swirling motion. Once you feel surface has been coated, remove and let any excess drip back into the can. Hang or clip the object in the same vertical position as it came out of the can and let dry. Once FLEX SEAL® LIQUID is fully cured you will have a super strong, no slip, rubberized coating on the surface.
Pour FLEX SEAL® LIQUID directly on the surface allowing gravity to take FLEX SEAL® LIQUID into cracks, holes and hard to reach areas. Continue to pour until the surface has been covered and all cracks and holes have been completely filled.
Q: How long will it take FLEX SEAL® LIQUID to fully cure?
A: FLEX SEAL® LIQUID cures faster in hot summer months and slower in cold winter months. Depending on thickness of application, temperature and humidity, FLEX SEAL® LIQUID will dry to the touch in 6 to 12 hours and fully cure in 24 to 48 hours. If the treated area is wet or very soft, it will need more time to cure.
